Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Services. By using our Services, you agree to this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time (see “Changes to Our Privacy Policy” below). We currently do not use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking) and, therefore, our Website does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. However, your website browser may allow you to set a DNT signal to opt out of behavioral tracking conducted by other websites. You can find additional information on DNT choice mechanisms at: optout.aboutads.info and www.youradchoices.com/control.aspx.

The information we collect automatically may include personal information that we use to improve our Website.
The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:
  • Cookies (or browser cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. Browser cookies contain your preferences and are sent to your browser and sent back by your browser each time your browser accesses our servers. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our Website. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to our Website.
  • Flash Cookies. Certain features of our Website may use local stored objects (or Flash cookies) to collect and store information about your preferences and navigation to, from, and on our Website. Flash cookies are not managed by the same browser settings as are used for browser cookies. For information about managing your privacy and security settings for Flash cookies, see Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information below.
  • Web Beacons. Pages of our Website may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit HPC, for example, to count users who have visited those pages and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity).
  • IP Addresses. An IP address is a unique identifier that certain electronic devices use to identify and communicate with each other on the Internet. When you visit our Website, we may view the IP address of the device you use to connect to the Internet. We use this information to determine the general physical location of the device and understand from what geographic regions our Website visitors come. We also may use this information to enhance our Website.
Our Website may use Google services such as Google Analytics from time to time. For more about how Google collects and processes data, please see Google’s privacy policy and their information at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.

Third-Party Use of Data Collection Technologies
Some content or applications on the Website are served by third parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers, and application providers. These third parties may use cookies, alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies, to collect information about you when you use our Website. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content.

We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information
We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:
  • Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. To learn how you can manage your Flash cookie settings, visit the Flash player settings page on Adobe’s website. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this site may then be inaccessible or not function properly.
  • Disclosure of Your Information for HPC Advertising / Promotional Offers. If you wish to restrict or limit the use of your personal information by HPC to promote our own products or services, you can do so by emailing us at info@houseplantcollective.com. If we have sent you a promotional email or newsletter, you may send us a return email asking to be omitted from future email distributions or exercise any opt-out choices made available to you through the promotional email or newsletter.

Collection and Use of Children’s Information
Our Website is not intended for children under 16 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 16. Children should not share any personal information unless their parent or guardian provides verifiable consent, and there is no reason a minor would be submitting information to HPC. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 16 without parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 16 without parental consent, please contact us at info@houseplantcollective.com.

Your State-Specific Privacy Rights
California
Currently, HPC is not engaged in business activities that would subject us to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). In the event our business activities change in a way that would subject us to these laws we will revise this policy and our data privacy practices accordingly. However, if you have any questions or concerns about our information collection practices, please contact us at: info@houseplantcollective.com.
Separate from CCPA, California’s “Shine the Light” law gives California residents the right to ask companies what personal information they share with third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose your personal information to third parties for the purpose of directly marketing their goods or services to you unless you request such disclosure. If you have any questions regarding this policy, you may contact us at info@houseplantcollective.com.

Nevada
Under Nevada law, Nevada residents may opt out of certain “sales” of their data by website operators. Currently, we do not sell any data as defined by Nevada law to trigger any opt out rights. Should that change, we shall revise the policy to inform you of a method to opt out of such sales. Meanwhile, please direct any questions to: info@houseplantcollective.com.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
GDPR does not apply to HPC, as it is a North American based organization and neither offers goods or services nor monitors the behavior of data subjects situated in the European Union. To the extent you have questions about the applicability of the GDPR to users of this Website, please direct those questions to info@houseplantcollective.com.

Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards for the Services designed to protect against loss, misuse or unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of the personal information we collect through our Services.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through our Services. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website or any of our Services.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy
It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page and provide notice through our newsletter. The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. You are responsible for visiting our Website and this privacy policy to check for any changes.
